How to leave the association — and when it takes effect
In the statutes and in the law this is called Austritt — resignation (§ 39 BGB, § 6 (3) of the statutes). It means the same thing: you end your membership.
You may resign at any time; we do not need a reason. Under § 6 (3) of the statutes, resignation takes effect with a notice period of three months to the end of the calendar year.
That means: your declaration must reach us by 30.09.2026 for the membership to end on 31 December of this year. If it arrives later, it ends on 31 December of the following year. If you declare today, your membership ends on 31.12.2026.
What resignation means
- Until it takes effect you remain a member and the fee continues to run.
- After that, the obligation to pay and the right to vote both end.
- Fees already paid are not refunded pro rata — they were the fee for the time during which you were a member.
- We delete your data unless statutory retention periods stand in the way. More in the privacy policy.
Declare your resignation
An informal e-mail to kuendigung@icd360s.de or a letter is equally sufficient. The statutes prescribe no particular form for resignation; we do not need a signature.
