Installing the app
Step by step, including the places where it tends to get stuck
Which app do you need?
Windows, Linux, iPhone and Mac will follow later.
For the board only. To download it you need an unlock code from the chairperson.
How to install the file
Your device: no Android detected. The steps below are for Android phones.
- Tap the button above. The file starts downloading — depending on your connection this takes one to two minutes.
- “Open” appears at the bottom of the browser. Tap it. (Or open the file later from “Downloads”.)
- Android asks “Install from this source?”. Tap “Settings”.
- Turn on “Allow from this source” and go back with the back arrow.
- Tap “Install”. Done.
Depending on your Android version
The difference is exactly one step — and it is the one most people get stuck on. You will find your Android version in Settings under “About phone”.
Android 12 and older
- Tap the button above. The file starts downloading — depending on your connection this takes one to two minutes.
- “Open” appears at the bottom of the browser. Tap it. (Or open the file later from “Downloads”.)
- Android asks “Install from this source?”. Tap “Settings”.
- Turn on “Allow from this source” and go back with the back arrow.
- Tap “Install”. Done.
Android 13
- Tap the button above. The file starts downloading — depending on your connection this takes one to two minutes.
- “Open” appears at the bottom of the browser. Tap it. (Or open the file later from “Downloads”.)
- Android asks “Install from this source?”. Tap “Settings”.
- Does it say “Restricted setting”? Then tap the three dots at the top right and “Allow restricted settings”.
- Turn on “Allow from this source” and go back with the back arrow.
- Tap “Install”. Done.
Android 14 and newer
- Tap the button above. The file starts downloading — depending on your connection this takes one to two minutes.
- “Open” appears at the bottom of the browser. Tap it. (Or open the file later from “Downloads”.)
- Android asks “Install from this source?”. Tap “Settings”.
- Does it say “Restricted setting”? Then tap the three dots at the top right and “Allow restricted settings”.
- Turn on “Allow from this source” and go back with the back arrow.
- If the switch is missing, open the file once more — from Android 14 on it sometimes appears only on the second try.
- Tap “Install”. Done.
If it does not work
“App not installed”
Usually an older version of the same app from somewhere else is still on the phone. Uninstall the old one and download the file again. Your data is on the server, not in the app.
The “Allow from this source” switch is missing
Open the file again from “Downloads”. From Android 14 on the switch sometimes appears only on the second try. If that does not help: Settings → Apps → your browser → “Install unknown apps”.
The download keeps breaking off
The members app is about 130 MB. On mobile data the download breaks off more easily than on Wi-Fi, and some phones pause it in battery saver mode. Download over Wi-Fi if you can and keep the screen on.
It still does not work
Call us or write to us — we will go through it together with you. You will find every way to reach us in the contact window at the top right.
Why not from the Play Store?
The association’s apps are made for members and for the board, not for the general public. That is why they come straight from our server. It also means Android does not know us and therefore asks insistently — the prompts in the steps above are exactly that, not an error.
